Great Outdoors: Orange County/Long Beach Chapter

About Us

Great Outdoors (GO) is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization predominately serving the LGBTQ+ community interested in hiking, camping, backpacking and other outdoor activities.

''Out of the bars; Under the stars'' was the original reason why Great Outdoors was created due to the high prevalence of alcoholism within our community back in 1978.
Consisting of 5 Chapters in Southern California including Orange County/Long Beach, Los Angeles, San Diego, Santa Barbara and Palm Springs our membership is over 500 strong! Belonging to our Chapter (Orange County/Long Beach) allows a member to participate in activities from any chapter.
