Disrupt Distractions to Boost Productivity
Designed for professionals in every industry, this presentation provides actionable information to help attendees understand the power of the human brain to accomplish more without working harder or for longer hours, and how to avoid distractions that otherwise get in the way of achieving goals. The principles are based on the neuroscience of how the human brain works.
Participants will learn the distinction between being productive and being busy and understand some of the myths about the brain that get in the way of business teams working well together. Being able to get tasks accomplished starts with understanding some basic tenets of cranial function so that time and energy can be managed for maximal accomplishment.
The presentation spends some time on why multitasking is a myth and how to combat it so that tasks can be accomplished in a reasonable time frame. It’s critical that participants understand how the brain prevents multitasking so that they’re able to organize time in a way that works for them.
Distractions can seriously interrupt the work of any one person in addition to teamwork. Participants will discover the most common distractions (such as social media and environmental interruptions) as well as the best strategies for combating them.
Key Takeaways:
• How to use the brain’s natural way of working to increase productivity
• How to help team members use neuroscience-based principles to accomplish their tasks
• How to prevent common distractions from blocking the work of an individual or team
